De Ko Samui para Ko Phangan (From Ko Samui to Ko Phangan)

Vista do quarto / Room's view

October 29
In the morning I went to the reception to extend my stay. I want to rest, and walk to do this and that is a weariness.
- You can not stay in your room, but we have here another one with a view to the beach and a better shower. We do it for the same price.
Stop being so nice to me Thailand.

October 30
When I get in these waters, I even laugh. In Portugal, I need to meditate every step I take. We can see big fish, yellow, striped, just by the shore. I really have to buy a diving mask. Today, I even saw a shoal of tiny fish jumping out of the water beside me.
I came to have dinner in one of the other centers of action in Ko Samui, Lamai, closest to where I'm staying. It's also incredibly large. Bars everywhere, and the most impressive, were the strip poles (which aren't for strip) where they wave their body to attract falangues. Outdoors! They all called me and joking, I am already an expert answering them.

Templo Chinês em Ko Phangan/ Chinese temple in Ko Phangan

October 31
Day to go to the second island, Ko Phangan. In the night before that had been the world famous full moon party (that's every month). Then I saw loads of falangues party boys, carrying a bottle of water and painted in luminescent colors, returning to Samui.
I rent a new bike, did the check-in and went for a ride around the island.
This is, in fact, much more virgin, more jungle and it shows better the rural Thai traits.

Eu e a prostituição (Me and the prostitution)

A cara estava incrivelmente conservada (e fumava).

n a day that I didn't care about having to see and enjoy, I relaxed in the room (after all it's Sunday) and I only left during the evening.
I went to have dinner near the place I had dined yesterday, but first, I passed on the pink street. It was less busy. There's something there that frightens me but at the same time, appeals to me.
At dinner, I was attended by an interesting lady. His hair was white, his hands eighty, ninety years old the face of a child. It was incredibly preserved(and she was a smoker).
I went to another famous place on the island, to the north, the fisherman village in Bo Phut. A very quiet place, with very fine restaurants, beautiful decor. Great for couples.
It had nothing to offer me. I drank a beer and put myself towards the filth Chaweng. There was some fear to be overcome.
I parked the bike (they are less aggressive with pedestrians), and now, I had to choose a bar. All of them seemed so bad. Or the lights, or the music or the girls with too much makeup giving them the look of what they are. I also avoided Ladyboys (those I could recognize). I finally found one with a football match on the tv screen, two Thai guys playing snooker and an older lady behind the counter. There were also some disgusting looking falangues that early, were slapping this lady ass. A young girl came to me. Pretty, chubby, touched me right away and start making me questions with her bad English. I didn't put her away but I told her I didn't pay for sex. She didn't understand or pretended not to, and silly, laughed laying her head on my shoulder. We went to playing pool. She was really bad. Nothing like the bar girls of Nong Khai. And sometimes, she seemed deliberately fail to cheer me up (but It wasn't needed). There was another young girl in the bar. Even more beautiful and didn't look so silly. They were both young, with light makeup and short dresses (probably with the breasts inflated). We played four in line, I yet, played snooker with the other (who played a little better) and ended playing jenga with both, it was worth for a few laughs.
I didn't have a stunning night or interesting conversations, but I spent a good time, feeling less lonely and accompanied of beautiful women.
Am I supporting the prostitution in Thailand? Yes, the money spent on beers, but I always hope that my attitude shows them something. You can't imagine the times that I wanted to tell them: You're so beautiful, you don't need to live of this.

Dia comprido em Ko Samui / Long day in Ko Samui

Vista do resort / Resort's view

A areia é fina, branca e macia.
Ela não gostou e disse: "Go! Go!"

Colmeia / Beehive
Carlinhos na cascata / Carlinhos in the waterfall

I woke up to go for a swim in the sea. The sand is thin, white and soft. The water temperature can't be felt (and this is the low season). Finally I find a beach that beats the Portuguese ones. It's true. It's really one of those dream ones. Too bad being alone and not being able to share it on the spot.
Shower, breakfast and I went in search of a scooter. There I found one within the expected values and threw myself across the island.
After a first bullshit (can always happen in a tourist place), I found a Muslim neighborhood. And it's so good to find the true essence of a place. Banguad memories returned, and walking through the palm trees, I came upon a fishing village. Not a single foreigner, colorful boats and an old man resting in a hammock. An ecstasy (that beats the beauty of the resort where I'm staying).
The temples disappoint (perhaps 'cause I've seen many) on this island of fun and needing to protect my eyes while riding, I bought two Ray Ban (real ones, of course) for three euros.
Next, a waterfall, where they asked for money to park the bike but the guide came with us up and even took a picture when I was under the waterfall.
After a good few more miles, I catch the sunset in the northwest of the island. What a stupid views.
(I never liked palm trees and only now, I realized why. Because the ones I had seen, were always in the wrong place. There's the true essence of things related to beauty).
I was still halfway (because there is, almost, only one road around the island) and the night was setting. The northeast part was left to be seen but I still passed by some appetizing restaurants at the seaside. Hurriedly, I put myself on the way to Chewang, the center of revelry. I found a market, where I had dinner and thinking that the place wasn't so big, I began walking through shops, restaurants and bars that never ended. I went to the beach which was also full of bars with puffs in the sand. Another bay, another astonishing view. I know so many people who would get crazy here (but I'm alone :( ) A beer on the puff while an annoying guy thought I wanted cocaine (it's good, he insisted). Returning to the bike, nobody could tell me in which direction I should go. I walked like a dog and completely exhausted, there I found it.
Returning, I got myself on a road crowded with bars full of neons and very good looking whores who were shouting while I was passing. Noticing be a dead end road, I had to turn back and go through all that again. Right at the beginning, one jumped to the front of the bike, and I, without much patience, deviated her with my arm. She didn't like it and said, "Go! Go!" Well, that was what I wanted, but it was strange. Was the first Thai person I found, reacting so badly. I had only touched her arm.
I returned to the hotel, willing for bed, but when I got there, I took a dip in the swimming pool, yet. I was really needing it.
