Adeus querida Tailândia (Goodbye dear Thailand)

Não há muito mais a dizer sobre este país. Acho que todos têm já uma ideia do que significa para mim.

Estes três meses são o maior período que passo num outro país. E acho que tive sorte em escolhê-lho.
Estou muito feliz de ter encontrado um país onde o civismo e o respeito não significam riqueza. E a atitude calorosa está cá. E claro, vou ter saudades de partilhar o tão fácil sorriso com uma senhora, com um senhor, com uma criança ou até com um monge. O sorriso é fácil, a conversa é fácil, a ajuda é fácil, tudo é fácil aqui. Mais puro e espontâneo. A cultura Mai Pen Rai (deixa estar, não te preocupes, não faz mal, tá tudo bem :) )
A Tailândia ganhou um espaço considerável no meu coração e dos muitos projectos e ideias que coleccionei, pelo menos três passam por este país.

Têm cerca de quatrocentas palavras com que incluem a palavra "coração" (หัวใจ)
Generoso - mente larga (ใจกว้าง)
Compaixão - a abilidade de ver o coração (ความเห็นอกเห็นใจ)
Não têm a palavra "precisar" (eles não precisam de nada)

No aeroporto do Dubai, reconheço quatro amigas tailandesas, que na espontânea cavaqueira, esperam para entrar no avião que vai para Lisboa. Sorriu. É um prazer recebê-las.
Até um dia querida Tailândia, que temo não ser breve o suficiente.

There isn't much more to say about this country. I think you all already have an idea of what it means to me.
These three months is the longest period that I spent in some other country. And I think I was lucky to pick it.
I am very happy to have found a country where civic spirit and respect doesn't mean wealth. And the warm attitude is here. Of course, I will miss to share a easy smile with a lady, with a gentleman, with a child or even with a monk. The smile is easy, the talk is easy, the help is easy, everything is easy here. More pure and spontaneous. The culture Mai Pen Rai (let it be, don't worry, never mind, it's okay :) )
Thailand has found a considerable space in my heart and of the many projects and ideas that I collected, at least three, are to be done in this country.

Some delicious details of the Thai language.
They have about four hundred words that include the word "heart" (หัวใจ)
Generous - wide mind (ใจกว้าง)
Compassion - the ability to see the heart (ความ เห็น อก เห็นใจ)
They don't have the word "need" (they don't need anything)

At the airport of Dubai, I recognize four Thai friends, who enjoyably prattle, waiting to get on the plane to Lisbon. I smiled. It's a pleasure to welcome them.
Until one day dear Thailand, that I fear not be soon enough.
