Ilha da Tartaruga (Turtle Island)

Ko Tao (Ilha da Tartaruga) tem uma cultura de mergulho incrível. É um dos melhores lugares do mundo para tal e as escolas são às carradas. Ao ver como a ilha se desenvolveu nos últimos tempos (as tartarugas já foram para outro paradeiro), percebo como estes sítios estão condenados. E não há nada que se possa fazer. Há lugares extremamente virgens, como Ko Phangan, mas a construção é notória. Apesar da arquitectura dos resorts estar, normalmente, coerente com a paisagem, ninguém impede o lixo que os turístas, animais de diversão e satisfação deles próprios, fazem. Como Paul me disse, vem-se para estes sítios lindos com a melhor das intenções, mas deixa-se sempre uma marca. Eu, estou, a contribuir para a extinção da beleza desta ilha.

Fui-me inscrever para a iniciação ao mergulho. Um tipo simpático, o Claude, que já aqui está há treze anos, fez-me pesquisar sobre a minha insuficiência na válvula mitral. Algo que nunca tinha feito, para perceber se era impeditivo (quando a válvula é muito estreita) ou um prolapso (o meu caso) que me permite, amanhã, ir ver uns peixinhos.

Ko Tao (Turtle Island) has an incredible diving culture. It is one of the best places in the world to do so and the there are loads of schools. Seeing how the island has developed in the last times (the turtles went already to another whereabouts), I realize how these places are doomed. And there's nothing that can be done. There are places extremely virgins, as Ko Phangan, but the construction is notorious. Although the architecture of resorts being typically consistent with the landscape, nobody prevents the garbage that the tourists, animals of fun and satisfaction of themselves, do. As Paul said, people go to these beautiful places with the best of intentions, but they always leave a mark. I am, contributing to the extinction of the beauty of this island.

I subscribed for diving initiation. A nice guy, Claude, that is already here for thirteen years, made ​​me look over my mitral valve insufficiency.
